Beatrice Metry gained her early experience in nursing and health promotion. While she earned her psychology degree (MSc.) and for several years after, she worked for the Institute for Social and Preventive Medicine of the University of Bern in the Evaluation Support Unit, mainly working on qualitative studies of health issues. At the BIHAM, she works on "Promoting Participatory Medicine in the Screening of Colorectal Cancer" NRP 74, leading an accompanying group that discusses specified topics from the point of view of those affected.
